World Backstory
When humanity first reached the Red Planet, it became a symbol of the future. It was transformed into a home for millions. Massive cities rose above the surface, enclosed by domes that protected against the harsh environment. Orbital stations served as hubs for governance, resource extraction, and climate control.
The crowning achievement was the Storm Forge—a colossal planetary processor capable of stabilizing the atmosphere, neutralizing radiation, and maintaining habitable conditions. It turned the Red Planet into a beacon of scientific progress and industrial might.
However, humanity’s insatiable greed for resources led to catastrophe.
Conflict
The largest interplanetary corporations, realizing the wealth of resources on the Red Planet, began vying for control. Every square kilometer of surface and every orbital station became a battleground.
Initially, the conflict was fought through economic means: territorial buyouts, industrial sabotage, and espionage. But it soon escalated into open armed conflict, with corporations deploying mercenaries, combat robots, and orbital laser systems.
The Great Orbital War
The planet's orbit became the primary theater of war. Stations that had once been hubs of science and trade turned into fortresses. Battles in the near-planetary orbit raged for decades, destroying everything in their path.
Massive assaults obliterated key stations. Satellites, left uncontrollable, crashed to the surface, causing catastrophic destruction. Debris filled the orbit, forming a dense, toxic ring around the planet.
At the height of the conflict, the Storm Forge system was damaged. Instead of stabilizing the climate, it became a destroyer. Hurricanes, acid rains, and radiation storms ravaged the surface, wiping out the last remnants of the colonies.
The Collapse of Civilization
After 30 years of relentless war, the planet was reduced to ruins. Most of the population perished, cities became ghost towns, and the orbit turned into a deadly no-man's land. The survivors sought refuge underground, cut off from resources and advanced technology.
The Survival Era (150 Years After the War
For a century and a half, small groups of survivors struggled to endure. Underground shelters became new homes where people used remnants of ancient technology. Tribes of survivors constantly fought for resources and control of the surface.
Legends of old technologies inspired the bravest adventurers to seek out wreckage and modules on the surface. These individuals became known as Seekers. Over time, the survivors learned to restore and repurpose ancient machines. The old energy cores from orbital stations became the foundation of a fledgling new civilization.
The Return of the Corporations
Around 200 years later, corporations turned their attention back to the Red Planet. Automated drones and robots began extensive surface scans, searching for wreckage and resources. The corporations' goal was to regain control of the planet—not for humanity, but for their own interests.
Players will take on the role of Seekers, fighting for resources, restoring technology, and resisting the corporations to protect what remains of the Red Planet.
Mission
Players take on the role of Seekers, members of the Cult of Technology. Your objectives are:
Collect as many intact parts as possible.
Build stations to restore the planet and enable resource extraction.
Stand against threats from corporations, old military systems, and the unpredictable climate.
Every station you build is a step toward the rebirth of the Red Planet. Together, the Seekers can create a new era where resources are used for the benefit of humanity.
